Dublin Archdiocese submission on Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028

On the 14th Feb 2022 the Archdiocese of Dublin made its own submission on the draft Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028.

In a long submission created by planning consultants Brock McClure and law firm Mason Hayes Curran the Archdiocese argues that 33 church sites should have their zoning under the Dublin City Development plan chanced from mostly Z15 to Z12.

Z15 zoning is intended “To protect and provide for institutional and community uses

Z12 zoning is intended “To ensure existing environmental amenities are protected in the predominantly residential future use of these lands

In essence this change would potentially allow the church to use the land for residential needs in the future.

It is worth noting that the change proposed for the Corpus Christi site does not include the Parish Hall as this land is currently zoned as residential land.
